More info about Kidical Mass

On September 24th and 25th, people in cities across the world are hosting kids rides with the shared vision of improving bike infrastructure so that all kids can safely and independently use bikes.

The vision of Kidical Mass is that all kids should be able to safely and independently travel by bicycle. Kidical Mass wants kid-friendly, green cities in which there are many and diverse open spaces for play and for encounters between all people.

"Space for the next generation" is the motto, using the premise that a kid-friendly city is great for people of all ages and abilities. Kidical Mass gives kids a voice on public space, showing a positive future to work towards, and mobilizing young and old.

Kidical Mass SF (May 2022)

On May 14th, 300+ families and people of all ages joined the first Kidical Mass SF, celebrating JFK Promenade becoming permanent and riding to Great Highway Park. The event was joyful, uplifting, and inspiring, and was part of a global weekend of Kidical Mass events around the world. Photos and videos from the event below.

The event was to get kids and families out on bikes to celebrate JFK Promenade and Great Highway Park and raise awareness about the urgent need to design our streets for our kids to ride safely and independently around our city without fear of being hit.

Please send an email to city leaders now to urge immediate action for our kids/streets:
